3 min read

Harvest is officially underway in the Cape Winelands. With it comes a lively calendar of public celebrations, ticketed evenings and one-night-only experiences across the region. From heritage-rich street parades and sunset wine gatherings to purpose-led luxury events and intimate live music under the stars, WinLands cultural events take centre stage in the weeks ahead. Here are a few notable dates to diarise.

Stellenbosch Harvest Parade | Stellenbosch Cultural Events

Stellenbosch’s annual Harvest Parade takes place on Saturday, 31 January 2026, marking the start of the harvest season with a colourful public procession through the historic town centre. Rooted in tradition, the parade is a moment of collective gratitude. So, it is also giving thanks for the new vintage while honouring the farmers, cellar teams and winemakers who shape the region.

The procession gets underway at 09:00 from the Toy and Miniature Museum in Market Street, moving through Alexander, Bird, Church and Plein Streets before arriving at the Town Hall at 09:30 for the official blessing of the harvest. With brass bands, floats and festive dress adding to the atmosphere, it’s a vibrant, family-friendly celebration that captures the spirit of Stellenbosch. The event is free to attend and open to the public.

Stellenbosch Street Soirées | Winelands Wine and Food Events

Running alongside the harvest buzz, the much-loved Stellenbosch Street Soirées continue throughout the season. These relaxed early-evening gatherings take place beneath the town’s iconic oak trees and offer an informal way to experience the Stellenbosch lifestyle.

Also, the Soirées combine wine tastings, street food and live music in a convivial, open-air setting. Upcoming dates include 11 & 25 February, and 11 & 25 March 2026. Each event runs from 18:00 to 20:00 in Drostdy Street, Stellenbosch.

Tickets are priced at R250 per person and include a branded tasting glass and 10 wine tasting tokens. Also, a variety of street food is available for purchase. These popular evenings tend to sell out quickly, and advance booking via plankton.mobi is essential.

The Wake-Up Call at Dunstone Country Estate | Wellington Cultural Events

Wellington hosts a standout, one-night-only event on Friday, 28 February 2026, when The Wake-Up Call takes over Dunstone Country Estate from 16:00 to 22:00.

Created by Kiki La Coco and Malcolm Wentzel, the event blends live country music, fashion, art, food and wine. A strong philanthropic focus underpins the experience, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Hawequa Mountains.

Also, the evening is carefully curated and features live performances, guest speakers, a fashion showcase and a charity art auction. Guests can also enjoy flame-grilled bites, flowing wine and Cap Classique. Proceeds raised on the night will support an elderly care home in Vanderbijlpark, adding purpose to the celebration.

Tickets are priced at R1 200 per person and include all food, drinks and entertainment. Booking is essential via itickets.co.za.

NashVegas Returns to The Barn | Riebeek Kasteel Live Music Events

NashVegas returns for its fourth edition on Friday, 13 March 2026, taking place at The Barn, 34 Church Street, Riebeek Kasteel. Known for its intimate scale and strong sense of place, the event delivers a story-driven live music experience in the heart of the village. Doors open at 18:30. Moreover, guests are seated at long tables under the stars, with sweeping valley views and a relaxed, communal atmosphere.
