The very best season to experience Stellenbosch is back. Along with it comes the City of Oaks’ famous open-air Street Soirées. As a result, the streets once again transform into a celebration of wine, food and music.

Organised by the Stellenbosch Wine Routes, the Stellenbosch Street Soirées offer a true taste of STELLENBOSCH wine and food street culture. Guests enjoy winelands living in an informal cocktail setting. Top wines, street food and live music set the tone for each evening.

A Seasonal Highlight on the Winelands Calendar

The Street Soirées start on 29 October and run once or twice a month until 25 March next year. Although the season spans several months, tickets for each two-hour event sell out quickly. Therefore, early booking is strongly advised via plankton.mobi.

“The Stellenbosch Street Soirées have become one of the most highly anticipated fixtures of the winelands calendar,” says Stellenbosch Wine Routes manager Elmarie Rabe. “Not only do they immerse guests in the wine and food traditions of the Stellenbosch lifestyle, but many people also use them as a prelude to a night on the town.”

What to Expect at the STELLENBOSCH Wine and Food Street Soirées

For each event, a public road lined with trademark giant oak trees is closed off. For two hours, the street becomes a relaxed social space. Comfy seating pods line the road, while stalls offer a diverse selection of wine and street food. A live music performance completes the atmosphere.

Paired with the mild winelands weather at dusk, the Stellenbosch Street Soirées once again stand out as the place to be in the coming months.
