South Africa, Riebeek Kasteel | January 2026
What started as a one-night experiment has grown into a much-anticipated cultural highlight. This year, NASHVEGAS RETURNS to Riebeek Kasteel for its fourth edition. Once again, it brings the sweeping story of American music to the foot of the mountain—this time with Elvis Presley firmly in the spotlight.
A Story-Driven Journey Through American Music
NashVegas traces the roots and revolutions of American sound. The show moves from the Mississippi Delta and Memphis juke joints to Nashville and beyond. Along the way, it celebrates the artists who shaped the soundtrack of a nation.
From Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and Chuck Berry to Bruce Springsteen, John Lee Hooker, JJ Cale and The Eagles, the music comes alive in a rollicking, story-driven performance. The result is a one-night-only experience, retold in the Swartland town of Riebeek Kasteel.
Now in its fourth year, the show leans confidently into its legacy. At the same time, it offers something new for returning audiences.
A Special Salute to Elvis Presley
At the heart of this year’s performance is a dedicated salute to Elvis Presley. His music bridged blues, gospel and rock ’n roll. Even today, his influence echoes through American songwriting and popular culture.
This tribute weaves naturally into the broader narrative of the evening, highlighting how Elvis shaped—and was shaped by—the sounds that came before him.
The Music and the Musicians
Singer-songwriter Craig Banks leads the performance, supported by The Black Bear Band. Together, they deliver a rich mix of classic covers and original material inspired by the greats.
Banks is joined by Wayne Pauli, David Goldberg, Malcolm Aberdeen and Damian Staz. This collective of seasoned Cape Town musicians brings decades of experience and a shared affection for the music they perform.

An Intimate Open-Air Experience
Inspired by Banks’ own travels to Nashville, the evening unfolds in classic NashVegas style. Expect an open-air show, weather permitting, with long tables under the stars. Festive lighting, valley views and a relaxed, communal atmosphere set the scene.
Importantly, the event remains intentionally intimate. Only 80 tickets are available, staying true to the scale that has defined NashVegas from the start.
Doors open at 18:30, with seating provided at long tables. As the sun sets behind the mountain, the valley becomes the backdrop to a memorable night of music and storytelling.
