Accor has announced the signing of Novotel Victoria Falls, marking the global hospitality group’s official entry into the Zimbabwean market.

Accor has signed a management agreement for a new-build Novotel at Victoria Falls, marking the Group’s strategic entry into Zimbabwe. Scheduled to open in 2028, the 111-key property will be located within the Eagle Heights precinct, overlooking the Masuwe River near one of the world’s most renowned natural attractions.

The agreement represents a partnership between Accor and Eagle Real Estate Investment Trust, a Development REIT with a diversified portfolio spanning hospitality, tourism, retail, and healthcare.

The project will bring Novotel’s midscale, family-friendly offering to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, with amenities including an outdoor pool, kids’ club, all-day dining, and a destination bar. Designed for both leisure and business travellers, the hotel aims to support regional tourism growth and meet the rising demand for internationally branded accommodation in Zimbabwe.

“Victoria Falls is one of the world’s most iconic destinations,” said Maya Ziade, Chief Development Officer, Premium, Midscale & Economy Division, Middle East, Africa & Türkiye at Accor. “This signing aligns with our growth strategy across Sub-Saharan Africa and reflects our commitment to entering high-potential markets.”

Bevin Ngara, Managing Director of Eagle Asset Managers, added: “Our partnership with Accor reflects our strategy of investing in transformative developments that create long-term value for both communities and investors.”

The new Novotel Victoria Falls is expected to contribute to the city’s positioning as a year-round destination for adventure tourism, families, and international visitors.
