Over 40 Stellenbosch wine producers, including several prominent winemakers and winery owners, will be in Johannesburg from 9 to 11 June for a series of public tasting events. The annual Stellenbosch Winter Wine Showcase will take place across venues in Sandton and Soweto.
Among those attending are Ntsiki Biyela of Aslina Wines, Shawn Matthyse of Ken Forrester Wines, Dirk van Zyl of Glenelly Wines, Rianie Strydom of Cavalli Estate, and Narina Cloete of Blaauwklippen Estate. The event also features some of the country’s top brandy producers, representing Stellenbosch’s broader reputation for fine spirits.
The showcase provides Gauteng residents with the opportunity to meet winemakers and sample a range of wines in a relaxed, informal setting. Organised by Stellenbosch Wine Routes, the event has become a regular feature on Johannesburg’s wine calendar.
