Luke Dale Roberts Group Relaunches Prix Fixe Menus

This winter, diners across Cape Town and Johannesburg can once again enjoy curated multi-course menus at some of the country’s most acclaimed dining establishments. The Luke Dale Roberts Group of Restaurants has announced the return of its popular prix fixe winter menus, available from 5 May to 30 September 2025.

The offering spans the group’s diverse portfolio—The Pot Luck Club, SALON, and The Test Kitchen Fledgelings—each offering seasonal, set-course menus designed for both casual and refined dining experiences.

The Pot Luck Club: Small Plates, Big Flavours

Now a decade into redefining small-plate dining, The Pot Luck Club continues to set the benchmark in bold, globally influenced cuisine. This winter, both the Cape Town and Johannesburg locations are offering two set menu options:

  • Prix Fixe Lite – Six dishes to share, ideal for a lighter lunch
    • Cape Town: R550 pp | Johannesburg: R495 pp
  • Prix Fixe Loaded – An indulgent eight-plate experience
    • Cape Town: R795 pp (lunch only) | Johannesburg: R795 pp (lunch and dinner)

For Cape Town brunch enthusiasts, the Sunday Winter Extravaganza returns: a ten-course menu paired with unlimited bubbly and a DIY Bloody Mary station, offered at R1250 per person.

SALON: A Seasonal Culinary Journey

At SALON, Luke Dale Roberts and Executive Chef Carla Schulze invite diners on a six-course tasting menu titled The Explorer Menu. Priced at

R875 per person, the offering blends European technique with South African ingredients, drawing inspiration from the chef’s global travels.

TTK Fledgelings: Training Tomorrow’s Hospitality Leaders

Occupying the former Test Kitchen space, TTK Fledgelings serves a five-course prix fixe lunch menu for R590 per person. The restaurant doubles as a skills development platform for individuals entering the hospitality industry without formal experience, offering diners a chance to support a purpose-driven initiative while enjoying a refined meal.

Booking and Availability

Menus are subject to seasonal change, and dietary preferences are accommodated where possible. Vegetarian and pescatarian options are available, but vegan, alcohol-free, and allium-free menus are not currently offered.
