In its sixth edition, the Lilizela Tourism Awards, organised by South African Tourism, recognised a number of City Lodge Hotel Group properties in both national and provincial categories. The Group received the following Lilizela Tourism awards for Accommodation in the Service Excellence category:

Minister of Tourism Derek Hanekom said in his opening address, “It is a real privilege to be here with you to celebrate your successes and achievements. That’s what tonight is all about: recognising and rewarding tourism players, businesses and the people on the ground who collectively make South Africa the great global destination that it is.”
