Reuben’s Restaurant to open at Capital Moloko

< 1 min

Chef Reuben Riffel will open his first Johannesburg-based restaurant in Sandton’s Capital Moloko hotel. The announcement came with the news that the hotel will also be undergoing a soft renovation. The renovation is expected to be completed by the end of August and includes updating the hotel’s exteriors, carpeting and soft furnishings, as well as a revamp of the hotel’s restaurant and catering facilities.

Reuben’s at Capital Moloko is set to stay true to the Chef’s roots, with strong Asian and Cape Malay influence showcased throughout his fine yet uncomplicated cuisine. Chef Reuben Riffel will also assist with redesigning and revamping the Capital Moloko’s conference menus.

“The Capital Moloko is far away enough from the hustle of the Sandton CBD to feel like a country escape for a premium event, and yet, it is just a five-minute drive from the heart of the country’s most fast paced business district,” Wachsberger explains.  “This refurbishment will enhance its already slick and seamless conferencing offering and comfortably appointed accommodation, and we’re excited to have Reuben on site, to attract ‘date-night’ visitors, business lunches, and other clients to the property too.”

The refurbishment will take place over a few months in a way that will minimize impact on guests and service. Guests can expect new carpets in the public areas as well as in the 53 apartments, luxury rooms, suites. Rooms’ soft furnishings and art will also be refreshed, and all exterior walls will receive a fresh coat of paint.
