The Regency Group has officially opened its 220 suite The Regency Apartment Hotel in Menlyn, Pretoria, aimed at both leisure and business travellers. This is the first Regency Hotel, though more are planned, and has been developed by Key Spirit Development in partnership with MD Siyanda Dlamini’s new hotel management company.
The Regency Menlyn is just off the N1, overlooking Ashlea Gardens and located within the city’s newly developed business zone. The Menlyn shopping and office district is a convenient 5-minute drive away, with the OR Tambo airport a 35-minute drive away.
The development, which cost R350 million, consists of one- and two-bedroomed apartment-style hotel suites that can easily accommodate guests looking for a long stay. Designed by Archactive International, the hotel has ample indoor and outdoor space, with a pool terrace, restaurants, bar, bespoke gym and premium security. Each room is fitted with quality furnishings, including Miele appliances.
The hotel offers both 24-hour room service and a 24-hour on-site restaurant, Platina, which serves up fusion and international cuisine. Other facilities include conference and meeting rooms, accommodating up to 80 people.
