Tuk Tuk Microbrewery updates menu with new Mexican dishes

< 1 min

Tuk Tuk, part of Leeu Collection and located on Franschhoek’s vibey main street, has recently introduced new dishes on its updated Mexican-themed menu.

Created by Chef Martin Senekal, the new menu was a direct outcome of their constant interaction with customers and the feedback received.

“We take feedback very seriously and it is of paramount importance to us to give our customers what they expect. Mexican flavours will still dominate, but the new menu has doubled up in offerings, as well as variety and flavours.” he says.

With a big quota of Tuk Tuk’s clientele immersing themselves in the Franschhoek village life by visiting to enjoy some of the tailor-made brews on offer, Senekal decided to include various small snack items, aka the chimichangas and croquettes, which are ideal to enjoy with drinks without having to order a big meal. The taco selection, as well as the vegetarian offering, were also adapted to follow current food trends.

Menu flavours lean towards Tex Mex, with the focus being on comfort food like corn fajitas, game fish tostadas, burritos, and a delectable buttermilk fried chicken burger served with hand-cut chips. For the sweet tooth, flan de leche, a chilli chocolate brownie or tres leches lamingtons will hit the sweet spot and the vegetarian options include delicious Baja fish with sliced jalapeño, radish and pickled cucumber.

“Our new menu now offers something for everyone,” says Senekal. “Together with our seasonal brews, the updated menu will definitely have huge appeal to our regulars.”
