Banters, avert your eyes. 95 Keerom’s Chef Proprietor Giorgio Nava is teaming up with two Italian chefs from Milan for a 4-week Autumn Risotto Pop-up.
The month-long risotto pop-up will be held at 95 Keerom in the Cape Town CBD. Chefs Nicoló Rovarini and Federico Rocca, who are relocating to Cape Town to open their own restaurant, Riva, will be creating a once-off risotto menu starting on Monday, 9 April till Saturday, 5 May. There’ll be 16 different masterly prepared risotto dishes on offer across the four weeks – four risottos will feature each night, with the menu changing weekly.
The Autumn Risotto Pop Up will showcase different kinds of risotto rice prepared in a wide variety of authentic ways. Risottos include the classic risotto alla milanese with saffron, the Italian mushroom risotto, risotto with butternut and goats’ cheese, asparagus risotto with prawns or crispy pancetta, and risotto with mascarpone and walnuts.
95 Keerom, situated at 95 Keerom Street in the Cape Town CBD, is well-known for its traditional Italian fare, and its sister restaurant, 95 on Parks in the Southern Suburbs, offers a 6-course Italian tasting menu (for more information, click here).
