Taking place on the 5th and 6th of June, South Africa’s longest-running wine festival will be taking place in Hyde Park. The 28th annual Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival is uniquely tailored to showcase the industry’s premier names.
“Our philosophy has always been to showcase limited quantities of exceptional wines which portray a ‘sense of place’. It is a vitrine of the Cape’s finest cellars – handpicked for their quality and distinction. Most have excelled internationally, which accounts for the success and continued popularity of South Africa’s most coveted annual celebration,” says founder Juliet Cullinan.
The wine industry showcases their latest vintages as well as special aged wines, discussing everything from wine evolution to regional differences. In honour of Juliet’s induction to the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, the Festival will this year highlight the grapes Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown in Burgundy.
This year, the event will be held in the old IMAX Theatre in Hyde Park, a unique space for the small, select boutique wineries to present their gorgeous wares.
