Three new General Managers have been appointed in the Tsogo Sun Cape Region, namely Jacques Moolman, Ayanda Mazibuko (pictured above) and Trevor Philander.

Ayanda Mazibuko

Ayanda Mazibuko (pictured above) is the new General Manager at the Southern Sun Cape Sun hotel in Cape Town, as of the 1st of April. Having been involved in the hotel industry for a number of years, Ayanda joined the Tsogo Sun group in 2013 as Rooms Division Manager at The Palazzo hotel at Montecasino where he was later promoted to Deputy General Manager. In 2016 he was appointed as the General Manager at the Southern Sun Newlands hotel, his most recent position before joining the Southern Sun Cape Sun hotel as GM.

Jacques Moolman

Jacques Moolman has been appointed as the new General Manager at the Southern Sun Waterfront Cape Town hotel as of the 1st of April. Jacques’ most recent position was that of General Manager at the Southern Sun Cape Sun, and he has been with Tsogo Sun since 2003. In that time Jacques has held various General Manager positions across the group’s portfolio including at Southern Sun Emnotweni, Drakensberg Sun, Beacon Island Resort and  54 on Bath.

Trevor Philander

Trevor Philander is the new General Manager at Garden Court Nelson Mandela Boulevard. Having been in the industry for over 30 years, Trevor began his career with Tsogo Sun as a Porter at Southern Sun Newlands. He worked his way up and has held various positions across Tsogo Sun’s hotels including Deputy General Manager for a number of the group’s hotels, General Manager at Garden Court Kimberley and most recently General Manager for Southern Sun Pretoria, the position he held before moving to Cape Town to take up his new role.
