Chef Auret Makube Morolo joins Mount Grace Hotel as Executive Chef

< 1 min

Auret Makube Morolo, the new Executive Chef of the African Pride Mount Grace Country House and Spa in Magaliesburg, joins this luxury establishment with many years of experience in cooking and in the management of kitchen staff.

His over 25 years in the industry have seen him gaining experience in the food divisions of some of Gauteng’s largest hotels and conference centres, including the Birchwood Executive Hotel, Emperors Palace, and the 5-star Hyatt Regency Johannesburg.

While many of his earlier positions saw him hone his skills relating to managing the provision of food for large groups of up to 5 000, he has now begun to focus on fine dining, especially in his previous role as Executive Chef and Acting General Manager at the luxury Sandton boutique hotel, the Marion On Nicol.

Among his numerous achievement, Morolo is particularly proud of having been invited by the South African High Commission in London to showcase South African cuisine, as well as being selected by the Department of Tourism to demonstrate South African food in India.
