Leeu Estates named SA’s leading wine country hotel

< 1 min

At the World Travel Awards Africa ceremony held in Kigali, Rwanda on the 10th of October, Leeu Collection’s flagship property Leeu Estates was named South Africa’s leading Wine Country Hotel. Leeu Estates was also recognised as the only South African hotel to appear on the Conde Nast Traveler’s HOT LIST, as well as featuring on Travel + Leisure’s It List 2017.

The World Travel Awards are voted for by travel and tourism professionals, as well as business and leisure travellers worldwide. Leeu Estates opened in June 2016 and is a luxury boutique hotel spread over a sprawling 100 hectare estate on the outskirts of Franschhoek. The property sits between the mountainside and river, and comprises vineyards, lush manicured gardens, indigenous fynbos and a wine tasting experience run by the Mullineux & Leeu Team.

Leeu Estates is indicative of the pillars of the Leeu Collection brand: “superlative service with attention to the smallest detail; an award-winning wine portfolio, distinctive architecture and sophisticated design; inspiring art collections and manicured and detailed landscaping that reflects respect for the environment.”
