The Jazzy Joburg Market will return from 26–28 September 2025 as part of the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Festival weekend. Hosted at the Sandton Convention Centre, the market will feature 25 local SMMEs offering arts, crafts, fashion, jewellery, home décor, and handmade goods.
“The Jazzy Joburg Market is more than a shopping opportunity — it’s a platform for artisans and entrepreneurs,” said Mantwa Chinoamadi, CEO of TMusicman and Festival Producer of the Joy of Jazz. “Running alongside the festival, it allows visitors to support local businesses and take home something uniquely Joburg.”
Presented in partnership with the Joburg Tourism Company, the market highlights Johannesburg’s role as a cultural and tourism destination. “SMMEs are the backbone of our economy. Supporting them is essential to both economic growth and sustaining the creative sector,” said Ms. Nandipha Zonela, Board Chairperson of the Johannesburg Tourism Company.
With Sandton as the hub, festivalgoers can move between Joy of Jazz performances and the market on Level 0 of the Convention Centre. This integration adds a tourism dimension to the festival, offering both domestic and international visitors a chance to experience Johannesburg’s creative economy alongside world-class jazz.
The Jazzy Joburg Market will run throughout the festival weekend, giving families, travellers, and festivalgoers access to a wide range of locally made products while reinforcing Johannesburg’s position as a leading cultural and tourism destination.
