Wigglewifi Launches tap4wifi for Hospitality Businesses

Wigglewifi, a South African smart connectivity company, has launched tap4wifi – a contactless, password-free solution that lets guests connect to a venue’s WiFi network instantly by tapping their phone.

Designed for hospitality businesses including hotels, guesthouses, Airbnbs, cafés, restaurants and lounges, tap4wifi removes the need for staff to repeatedly share or explain WiFi passwords – a small but frequent disruption to service.

The product is a wooden plaque embedded with a secure NFC chip containing the venue’s WiFi credentials. Guests tap their phone to the plaque to connect automatically. Devices without NFC can scan an included QR code as a fallback.

“We kept seeing the same issue: guests needing WiFi and staff having to stop to help,” says Daniel Titton, Managing Director and Founder of Wigglewifi. “tap4wifi makes the process fast, secure, and seamless.”

Key benefits:

  • No need to type or share passwords

  • Faster, frictionless guest access

  • Fewer staff interruptions

  • Secure credential storage

  • Custom-branded, design-conscious hardware

The password is never displayed or spoken, making it easier to maintain strong network security without creating barriers for guests.

tap4wifi plaques are crafted from premium wood veneers, finished for durability, and can be branded with a venue’s logo. Setup is simple: venues provide their network details securely, and Wigglewifi ships a ready-to-use unit.

“We wanted tap4wifi to feel like part of the space – not another gadget,” adds Titton. “It’s built for places where service and presentation matter.”
