@Sandton Hotel Expands Events Offering with Two New Conference Venues

2 min read

@Sandton Hotel has added two new conference venues—Argyle and Carlisle—to its events portfolio, responding to increasing demand for high-quality business and private event spaces in Johannesburg.

Located on the hotel’s first floor, the Argyle venue covers 142 square metres and can accommodate up to 120 guests cinema-style or 80 for a banquet. Carlisle, a smaller venue, is designed for groups of up to 50. Both are equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning, integrated audiovisual systems, projectors, screens, and built-in PA systems.

According to Ryan Myburgh, Food & Beverage Manager at @Sandton Hotel, the new venues were developed to offer flexible, functional spaces suited to a range of event types, from board meetings to product launches.

These additions build on the hotel’s existing facilities, including a large ballroom with capacity for up to 500 guests cinema-style or 400 for cocktail functions. The ballroom can be subdivided into three rooms, each opening onto a foyer and terrace suitable for informal breakout sessions.

Additional event spaces include the Clubhouse pool deck, the central piazza, private penthouses, and the Presidential Suite. Each offers a

range of options for different event formats, from networking sessions to exclusive gatherings.

The hotel also houses four boardrooms, an 80-seat auditorium, and an on-site co-working facility, Co-Worx, which provides hot desks and office pods available to event delegates and business travellers.

On the hospitality side, the hotel includes three restaurants—@Sandton Restaurant, the Clubhouse, and the Pool Bar—which offer various catering options including plated meals, buffets, and casual service.

@Sandton Hotel is located at 5 Benmore Road, Benmore Gardens, Sandton, Johannesburg.
