Following a new partnership with Air Mauritius, Air Belgium now offers enhanced connectivity for South African travellers with an additional two frequencies from Johannesburg to Brussels via Mauritius.
Air Belgium will now operate direct flights from Johannesburg to Brussels on Mondays and Thursdays. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, a connection from JNB to BRU via Mauritius (MRU) will be available, offering a transit or stopover option in Mauritius. The direct routes ex Johannesburg and ex Mauritius will be serviced by Air Belgium’s A330-900neo aircraft.
The partnership with Air Mauritius follows the airline’s partnerships with Airlink and FlyCemair, which cemented Air Belgium’s South African footprint. The expanded interline agreement with Air Mauritius enables Air Belgium to present South African travellers with a wider variety of exciting travel options.
Niky Terzakis, CEO of Air Belgium, commented on the partnership: “Our collaboration with Air Mauritius opens a new chapter of enhanced service for South African travellers. This, coupled with our existing partnerships with Airlink and FlyCemair, underscores our dedication to offering diverse and seamless travel experiences to our valued customers.”
