Hotel and resort management company First Group has opened wedding venue Swallow Cliff Hall, which boasts a seven-suite villa and is based in the Drakensberg. The property is exclusive and contemporary in style, offering a ‘celebrity-style’ wedding experience for couples.

This is First Group’s first destination to cater for exclusive weddings. “Swallow Cliff Hall is a newly-built property that has been designed to cater for the truly discerning guest,” Shaun explains. The property has an unobstructed 360-degree views of its surroundings. “The site for Swallow Cliff Hall was specifically chosen so that it could offer an unforgettable wedding option where couples can exchange their vows surrounded by unmatched beauty.”
The venue can host 30 to 150 guests, and features a reception hall spilling out to extended wrap-around entertainment decks and lawn complete with a rim-flow pool and views of the Southern Drakensberg mountains. The property also has an on-site spa where the newlywed couple can enjoy treatments under the open Drakensberg sky, including Spa Bath and Sauna.
The villa sleeps up to 14 people and has a dining room, fully equipped “chef’s” kitchen for either home-cooked or catered meals, a wood-fired pizza oven, a mountain facing bar with a lounge and fireplace, business studio and wrap-around decks.
