Clico Boutique Hotel, Restaurant & Conferencing new Executive Chef’ Davies Moagi is bringing an innovative and fresh approach to the food of Clico.

Embracing new culinary challenges is something Davies Moagi is passionate about, and as the Executive Chef at the vibrant urban eatery, Clico Restaurant, he is living his passion. How you may ask? That’s simple: by bringing his own unique flavoursand textures to the food offering at this boutique hotel which is an oasis in the heart of Rosebank.

Born in Ga-Sekororo, Limpopo and raised in Tembisa, Chef Davies completed his Matric in 2006 and went on to graduate from HTA in 2008 with an IQF in Food Preparation and Culinary along with a certificate from City & Guilds in Food Preparation and Cooking Principles 1 the same year.

He really began to brandish his mark on the industry rising quickly through the ranks as a Chef de Partie at KievitskroonCountry Estate and Sous Chef at Tsogo Sun’s Back ò the Moon restaurant at Gold Reef City then holding the same position at 26 degrees south. By 2017 Chef Davies was the Senior Sous Chef at Granita Restaurant climbing the ranks once again to take on a position as Head Chef at Pecanwood County Estate. He has found a new culinary home in the creative kitchen at Clico as the Executive Chef overseeing the hotel’s restaurant, conferencing and catering offerings.

Clico’s conference facility is unique, diverse and ideal for smaller and more intimate events and conferences, fitted with the high-quality AV equipment and featuring sliding doors that open onto the garden with an outside patio area for drinks and canapés.

Clico offers nine comfortable and beautifully appointed rooms of various sizes (five king and four queen/twin-bedded). Tastefully finished in understated warm earthy browns, creams and soft greens, each room features a mini-bar, safe, flat-screen TV with DStv (satellite TV), a desk / dressing table and air-conditioning.
