We take a look at some of the eye-catching interiors from our local hotels, restaurants and guesthouses.
Die Skuur Guesthouse at Bosjes | Breede River Valley
The beautiful Bosjes provides overnight accommodation in the 5-roomed Die Skuur Guesthouse. The rooms, which can be rented out together or individually, have been decorated in muted shades of sand with accents of chartreuse and copper by interior designer Liam Mooney.
La Parada del Mar | Camps Bay
Miami meets Camps Bay, the quirky pineapple motif wallpaper from Designer Soil & Co. from the Robin Spring Wallpaper Collection certainly makes a statement. Simone Biggs, Interior Designer for the Harbour House Group, drew inspiration from Ibiza and Cuba as well as Miami in curating the La Parada del Mar space, which blends beach-chic with after-dark allure. “There is still the essence of La Parada here, but because it’s on the beach the space had to have a distinct feel to it.”
Majeka House | Stellenbosch
Interior Designer Etienne Hanekom first used an oversized flamingo print in the boutique hotel’s dining room, which had such a great response he was asked to extend the exotic bird reference to the two pool suites which recently underwent refurbishment. The pictured suite features framed vintage bird prints, a mix of coral and chartreuse, antique and contemporary furnishings, and sumptuous fabrics.
Four Seasons The Westcliff | Johannesburg
The opulent Royal Suite bathroom at Four Seasons The Westcliff provides a calm, tranquil haven amidst the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg. Designed by Jacket Interiors, the bathroom features a statement-making cast iron bath which was flown in from the United Kingdowm, and weighs approximately 200kg.
