Ahead of the Arnold Classic Sports Festival, which is taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre at the end of April, the Tsogo Sandton Mile hosted an exclusive Chefs Experience. The Tsogo Sun Sandton Mile is home to four flagship Tsogo Sun properties: Sandton Convention Centre, Sandton Sun, InterContinental Johannesburg Sandton Towers and Garden Court Sandton City.

The themed dining experience showcased the versatile culinary offering of the Tsogo Sandton Mile. Inspired by the Arnold Classic Sports Festival, chefs from each of the four properties created a dish which mirrored a professional athlete’s strict dietary requirements. The resulting three-course menu focussed on the fusion between fitness and flavour, leaving guests energised and refreshed.

Sandton Convention Centre’s Executive Chef, James Khoza, explained the ethos behind the menu: “Our challenge for today was to deliver on the premise that eating healthy doesn’t have to mean bland food. I think we have achieved our goal.”

“The Tsogo Sandton Mile’s versatile food and beverage offering incorporates an array of restaurants, including San Deck, The Atrium and Riffs, operated by a diverse team of highly trained chefs, eager to show off their skills. The properties provide a platform for events of any size – from romantic, candle-lit dinners for two, to dinners for up to 2 500 guests.”
