Wines we love: Il Vino Dell’amore Petalo Pink Manzoni Moscato Rose

< 1 min

While its name might be quite a mouthful, Il Vino Dell’amore Petalo Pink Manzoni Moscato Rose is delicate and distinctively sweet. It’s easy on the eye, too, with a rose gold painted bottle, the label depicting a rose in bloom –  the bubbly is part of Bottega’s Vino dell’Amore (wine of love) label.

The sparkling wine originates from grapes grown in the Province of Treviso, an area famous for its Prosecco. The skins of the grapes are subjected to a process of maceration with the must that lasts for 24 hours. The resulting wine is fresh and fragrant, with a low alcohol content of just 7% and a pleasantly sweet taste.

Il Vino Dell’amore Petalo Pink lives up to its name with a brilliant rose colour. On the nose, it’s delicate, yet intense and while it’s sweet and fragrant, with hints of rose and raspberry, spicy notes of sage, thyme and marjoram are also present.

As it’s a sweet wine, it’ll go beautifully with desserts, but pop it open for any special events or celebrations – it’s certainly a showstopping addition to any table.

Bottega products are imported by Profumi D’italia and are available at leading retailers nationwide. The recommended retail price is R459.
