Thabo Rafuthu (pictured centre) has been appointed as the new General Manager of the Protea Hotel by Marriott Durban Edward. His appointment follows just over five years as the General Manager of the Protea Hotel by Marriott Roodepoort.  A loyal Protea Hotels staff member, Thabo has worked in the organisation since finishing school.

Zandi Beetge (pictured left) took up the reins of Executive Chef at the Protea Hotel by Marriott Fire & Ice! Pretoria Menlyn in early November 2016.  In addition to a wide range of chef positions in many countries, she has worked previously for Protea Hotels, most recently at the Protea Hotel by Marriott Bloemfontein Willow Lake.

Genghis San (pictured right), the former Executive Chef of the Protea Hotel by Marriott Fire & Ice! Pretoria Menlyn, has been appointed as the Executive Chef of the African Pride Mount Grace Country House & Spa in Magaliesburg outside Johannesburg, taking up the appointment on 1 October 2016. This follows a number of previous positions at hotels within the Protea Hotels by Marriott stable, including his first Executive Chef role at the Protea Hotel OR Tambo.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
