Le Quartier Francais released a statement on its facebook page regarding the resignation of iconic Chef Margot Janse. “Executive chef at Leeu Collection’s Le Quartier Français and The Tasting Room, Margot Janse, has resigned after 21 years of excellent service,” said the statement. “Well-known for her African-inspired cuisine, Margot will leave her current employment on April 29th 2017. Says Analjit Singh, aka BAS, founder of Leeu Collection, “We would like to thank Margot for her service and wish her well in her future endeavours. It is business as usual and we will announce more details about Margot’s replacement and the way forward to ensure the continuity and success of The Tasting Room in due course.”
