South Africa’s first Dunkin’ Donuts opened in Goodwood late last week, with 5 people queuing for over 25 hours to be the first South Africans to get a taste of the iconic American brand.

“South Africa is the 45th country to join the Dunkin’ family and we have been overwhelmed by the support we’ve received from Capetonians today. The first people started queuing at 11am yesterday and by 8am this morning we already had 100 people anxiously awaiting their first taste of Dunkin’,” said Davin Berrill, Dunkin’ Donuts South Africa Chief Operating Officer (COO).

With the first restaurant now open, South African coffee lovers and donut aficionados can try the Dunkin’ Donuts Original Blend, Lattes and Cappuccinos, as well as a variety of 28 different donuts – including the world-famous Boston Kreme. “We appreciate all of the love from our local fans and look forward to the launch of our second Cape Town Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant in Canal Walk, Century City in November,” concludes Berrill.
