GHVoting for the 4th annual Wolftrap Steakhouse Championships starts today and runs for the month of April. Anyone can vote for their favourite South African steakhouse via Facebook and SMS, and stands a chance of winning Wolftrap wines as a prize. In May, the 20 steakhouses that received the most votes move into the second round where they will be visited the team of expert judges, led by Chef Pete Goffe-Wood. The judges will identify the best 5, which will then be visited again for final evaluation.
The Wolftrap Steakhouse Champion for 2016 will then be announced at the Awards Event hosted by last year’s winner, Little Havana (Link to: https://chefmag.co.za/2015/07/little-havana-wins-the-2015-wolftrap-steakhouse-championship/ ) in Umhlanga Rocks, Kwazulu Natal, in June.
How do I vote?
All voting takes place on www.facebook.com/SteakHunter and via SMS to 32845. Each voter is allowed one Facebook vote and one SMS vote per day during the month of April. A list of steakhouses is available on the Facebook voting page. Should a favourite steakhouse not be on the list, it can be added to the list if the steakhouse complies with the competition’s specifications.
