Cape Town head chef, Terrence Ford has a rich history in cheffing. Having had been a part of the opening team for African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel, African Pride Crystal Hotel as well as Myoga. His thirst for knowledge led to the working with his mentor, Richard Carstens.

Q ‘n A with Chef Terrence Ford:

What is your favourite dish?
I don’t really have a favourite dish. Each dish has something special or a favourite element that makes it difficult to single out one specific dish

What is your favourite ingredient?
Very basic but it would have to be salt.

Who is the most famous person you have cooked for?
Paul van Dyk, he stayed at AP Crystal Towers the last time he was in Cape Town.

What is your signature dish?
We don’t have a signature dish, as we use signature ingredients instead, at the moment its vanilla in our kitchen as we pair it with our fish dish and vegetarian

What are your hobbies?
I do not have much time for hobbies but I try and hit the gym as much as possible.
